Autumn Time

We have been busy learning all about Autumn in Ms. Scully’s multigrade class.  Last week we went on an Autumn nature walk to look for signs of Autumn. We collected some Autumn items on our walk, i.e. leaves, conkers, berries, etc. We also looked at the trees in our school and their different coloured leaves. We examined the different parts of the tree and we learned about the life cycle of an oak tree.We also learned about the different types of squirrel in Ireland.

We learned a song about a ‘Dingle, Dangle Scarecrow’ and made our own scarecrows in art class.

Multigrade Class Activities

In Ms Scully’s multigrade class we have been learning all about ourselves. We have chatted about our interests, our families, our bodies and our faces!

As our class is full of talented artists we decided to create some self portraits to hang outside our classroom.

Before we began our self portraits we looked at pictures of ourselves and talked about what was special about our faces, after that we painted our faces.

Check out our work!img_5150 img_5151
